Coming Home 2/24/2012

Since we had a winter baby the kids were not allowed to physically see Cooper while we were in the hospital. To make it harder we had a C-Section so we had to be in the hospital 3 nights. The kids were dying to see little Cooper. One of the nurses showed Mom were there was a window the kids could look through to see Cooper. Daddy held Lyndee up and Chance peeked through as Mommy on the other side of the door held little Cooper up for them to see. Upon seeing Cooper Lyndee said, "Aww he is so little, I want to hug him and kiss him." Chance got a big grin and said Cooper was so cute. A couple of days later it was time to go home. Chance and Lyndee adoring Cooper, Lyndee staked claim to the baby. Saying this was her baby.

We stopped for a minute outside of the Maternity wing to let the kids see little Cooper. It was love at first sight. On the way home we had all three kids in the back seat, it was such a special time, the older two sat and updated us on any little move Cooper made. The ride home was filled with aww....he moved his hand....aww....he has little ears....awe....he yawned. We didn't have to wonder how he was doing. He made a few little sounds all happy ones. On our way home Chance asked Dad. Why do you make such cute babies.... We told him to make his life easier.

Lyndee just loving her turn to hold Cooper, which she has resorted to calling Baby. She has waited a long time to hold him and she really enjoyed it. In fact she didn't want to give anyone else a turn either. I just had tears in my eyes the whole time...you could feel the love they had for each other. Chess and I often talk of how it seems there was never a time that Lyndee and Chance weren't part of our lives. We will remind each other that we were a family before we came to Earth so the time we were without our kiddos, has been short.

You can see the joy and happiness Cooper brings already. Chance loves his little buddy. Everytime Chance finished doing what he was asked he said, "Can I hold Cooper." He kept talking to his Little Buddy, telling him stories and plans.

Lyndee can't leave Cooper in another room, she has to have him close. She is such a big girl.
